The GCSE History students enjoyed an offsite educational visit to the Science Museum. The fourth floor dioramas gave an excellent insight into the development of Medicine Through Time and upstairs on the fifth floor the artefacts supported learning about reliability and usefulness. We saw a model of a Greek Asclepion, a thief-proof coffin to prevent your body being stolen for anatomy practise, and many items showing how barbaric treatments used to be. Students realised how much medicine has changed and came away even more grateful for living in modern times!
