We had a fantastic World Book Day at CW! We used 'The Night Pirates' by Peter Harris as our inspiration. We dressed as pirates, sang pirate songs and even wrote pirate Haiku poems!

 

A traditional Japanese Haiku is 17-syllable verse consisting of lines with 5, 7, and 5 syllables.

Here is Yara's Haiku:

I wear a black patch
A parrot sits by my head
I say 'walk the plank!'
