The purpose of this lesson was to get all the students to think about the possibility of using cloth instead of cardboard or plastic in making a board game and to outline the advantages and disadvantages of using cloth, plastic and cardboard.

Students looked at various board games such as Monopoly, Ludo, Cluedo, Chess etc... and discussed all the advantages and disadvantages of using cloth instead of cardboard.

Later they accessed the internet and browsed for ideas, once they found the board game they wanted to design they drew a template on a paper which was later used to make the design on a piece of cloth. They used resources such as pencils, felt-tip pens and cloth paint etc.
