Go and open the door

Maybe outside there’s

A tiger or a cat

Or a cat’s flea

 

Go and open the door

Maybe nothing is there

Maybe everything is there

Or a compass showing you to north, south, east, and west

Or the picture

Of a picture

 

Go and open the door

Maybe there’s someone famous

They might leave

 

Go and open the door

Even if there is only

Some cold air

Even if there is a little fly

Even if no one is there

 

Go and open the door
