Students were great at asking questions, and when they asked ‘What is a force?’ it started a big discussion!

We learnt about forces by sorting objects which can be pushed and pulled.

We learnt that forces can move things. We found out that air can move a balloon!

We also thought about forces whilst creating a boat. The weight of a boat is a force, but then so is up-thrust, the force of the water pushing the boat up. Which is stronger?
