The students at Collingham have been making use of our recently installed raised beds in the front garden to plant carrots, parsnips, beetroots, broccoli, cabbage, peas and broad beans. They have also been growing potatoes and courgette in old tyres. In the side garden, their sunflowers are beginning to bloom and the tomato seeds have just sprouted.
Students at Collingham had a bake sale to raise money to help some homeless people have a better Christmas. Our target was to raise £26.08 to give one homeless person access to the support that Crisis at Christmas provides.
Blue Group students baked cakes and sold them to raise funds for the Fire Brigade.
All our kids have been participating to a poetry workshop directed by our poet in residence Phillip Wells.
