This painting was made by one of our students at Lavender walk using a scratching technique. First the paper was completely covered in coloured wax crayons, then a mixture of Acrylic paint and washing up liquid was applied on top and left to dry. Once the surface was dry the image was scratched into using the blunt end of various sized paintbrushes. I'm sure you will agree, it looks great!
Students at Lavender Walk have baked up a treat this week making and icing delicious fairy cakes, tropical mango cheese cakes and baking scrumptious caramel brownies! Well done, excellent effort and tasty treats ?

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 is Kindness. Students at Lavender Walk wanted to do something nice for all those who work with them so they wrote "thank you notes" and stuck them around the ward for staff to find!

Just before the Christmas break, City of London Sinfonia, featuring sound artist Gawain Hewitt and Ruth Molins trombonist, along with Fiona Lambert their Director of Participation, delivered a workshop for young people on the Lavendar Walk unit.
