fireworks2In literacy we have been learning how to use onomatopoeia, alliteration and similes or metaphors to create effective
poems.  Here you can read Maria's fantastic fireworks poem...

Fireworks

Boom bang! Fizzle pop! Whoosh bang boo! Pounding proudly

Breath takingly bright.

There fastly frightening. I love fireworks! There speechless and groovy.

There like a squirt of paint an artist made in the air. Swirly, sparkly and glamorous. Like a bird taking flight. My heart beat’s song meets tight. They take my breath away! For they are so fairy like a fairytale a story to be told. Come and join me, come and spark, come and boing with me.

Thank you for listening
