 Mariam painted this absolutely amazing picture of the Polarbear, Lorek.

At the time The children were also learning about a real place, Svalbard, which is an archipelago lying in the Arctic Ocean north of mainland Europe midway between Norway and the North Pole. We made this model and included it into our display.
