Maths

maths.gifMathematics provides a way of reviewing and making sense of the world we live in. In the hospital school our aim is to promote Mathematics as a life skill by encouraging children's interest and enthusiasm. This will enable students to be confident enough to predict, find out and explain new concepts. In key stages 1&2 numeracy is taught in accordance with the National Numeracy Strategy. We encourage learning through practical tasks and activities and use a wide range of teaching resources and relevant ICT materials. At key stage 4 there is access to GCSE syllabi supported by up to date textbooks and ICT resources.
