Our work in music aims to promote pupils’ appreciation and understanding of music from a variety of different cultures and styles. We have links with the LSO (London Symphony Orchestra), as well as visits from other musicians and groups. For the past two years, students from all our hospital sites have had the opportunity to work with musicians from Wigmore Hall in an extended collaborative project linked to work from our curriculum. Classroom work is based on composition, performance, improvisation, music appreciation and rhythm making projects. Music technology is a fast developing area.
