We were thrilled to celebrate Easter as a school today as we held our Easter service with students and visitors present in the chapel at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
We sung some wonderful songs and heard the story of Holy Week and Easter read by the students. Patients from Chelsea and Westminster and Collingham shared prayers and poems that they had written.
There was a short talk given by the Rev’d. Dr. Christina Beardsley, Head of the Multi-faith Chaplaincy; her last for the school after 16 years as she is set to retire in a few months’ time. She spoke passionately about the light of Christ at Easter taking away all the darkness which so often can seem to take over our lives.
The service finished with a lot of happy children and young people getting involved in the chapel Easter egg hunt!
